Panerai will open a new boutique at the Caesars Palace Forum Shops this summer 2012

In Uncategorized on February 29, 2012 at 9:16 am
This summer hopefully in June, one of the most successful watch brands in the world of the last 10 years, Panerai will be opening a boutique in Las Vegas. That’s right, Panerai has decided to open a boutique in what use to be the best shopping destination in the US, Caesars Palace Forum Shops. The location is perfect, right across from sister brand Cartier and right next to Spago. This will be huge for the brand as all the drunk rich gamblers who can’t get laid will be spilling their wallets at Panerai.
Those of you who know Vegas, already know that supermarket Torneau is a hop skip and a leak away, but this will only help traffic for all watch stores at Caesars. The boutique concept will be minimal and modern like the boutique in Florida, but will have 20-25 watches on display at all times just like all the other Panerai Boutiques around the world.  Please check out this kick ass youtube video below.

One of the best parts of Super Bowl XLVI was the Honda CRV ad with Ferris Bueller

In Uncategorized on February 10, 2012 at 9:20 am
For me Super Bowl XLVI sucked this year. That’s because my team the New England Patriots lost and I lost $85 in the process, that’s why it really sucked, what can I say I am a cheap Indian and I hate to loose money. To be honest, the game of Football grab ass does not interest me in the least.
I watched a little of the game, but some of the Super Bowl ads this year were absolutely amazing, especially the Honda CRV one staring Matthew Broderick, who reprised his role of the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day off for this particular ad. For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, please hit the play button below. This video has already gotten like a Gajillion hits on Youtube if that’s even a number!

The Sunset Marquis In West Hollywood is one of the coolest spots in LA

In Uncategorized on February 8, 2012 at 10:18 pm

On the side Street of Alta Loma in West Hollywood California is the most amazing historic, fascinating, iconic and cool hotel. The Sunset Marquis is one of my absolute favorite spots to chill at when I am in The city of lost Angeles.  This hotel has been a haven for musicians, actors, models and the entertainment industry since 1963. The most eclectic group of people from Billy Bob Thornton to Morrissey and many many more have stayed in this incredible oasis.

If your a musicphile like me then you definitely want to check it out because it has that small rockstar boutique hotel feel with the most incredible picturesque restaurant bar and garden. You feel like your in this surreal movie. On the walls are hanging portraits of the infamous and famous. like the Morrisey one pictured above. Even though your in the heart of Gayness in West Hollywood, you would think you are in Europe amongst the most interesting, innovative and influential people in the world without the dirty snobbery!

Baccarat Crystal will release a wine glass that will change the way we drink wine in March 2012

In Uncategorized on February 3, 2012 at 8:43 am

I thought this was interesting even though I don’t have a clue about wine. To be honest, I don’t really even like or drink wine,  because I get really bored drinking it, but I love unique looking stem wear.

I was at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas the other night networking because it’s not easy being a brown pimp, and I noticed this really unusual and really cool wine glass next to me. I was surrounded by this European dude from Paris, it was his glass he brought to the bar to drink out of , what a Freak! Whatever, I do the same shit with my Whiskey glass, so I can’t really say shit. I asked him what kind of glass it was, and he told me it was a new glass from the Rolls Royce of crystal, Baccarat.

According to Gay Paris, or whatever his name was, he told me that this glass was going to revolutionize the way we drink wine.  As much as I couldn’t really give a toss about wine, I found this really interesting because instead of their being a different glass for each type of red and white wine, Baccarat has resolved this by coming out with two glasses, one for red and one for white. This means they have eliminated the waste of having ten different glasses for ten different types of wine.

The reason why this interests me at all is because I love Baccarat because of their heritage and they truly make the best crystal in the world and besides this glass isn’t available in the US till March 2012. Because of the unique shape, you really get to taste the grapes from the wine first. I find wine glasses so sterile and boring to look at like a hospital, but this glass has character and when you first look at it, the first thing you think is what kind of glass is that?

So when this glass comes out in March and you can find it, I truly recommend picking one up because even though it’s a bit pricey at $85 per glass. it’s practical, evenly balanced. great to look at and you truly get the real full taste of your favorite wine.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas has the best kept secret in town!

In Uncategorized on February 3, 2012 at 7:38 am

Being an east coast guy from Boston, we take our pizza very seriously, because some of the best thin crust pizza in the world is very accessible on almost every street corner. Las Vegas not so much. You have to go off the Strip and dig for it. I am getting weak at the knees just thinking about it.

I am here to tell you that the problem has been solved, because last year on December 15th when the Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas opened their doors to the public, they also unveiled the most amazing east coast style think crust pizza joint mysteriously located down a hallway without any name. This place has become a cult favorite amongst die hard pizza fanatics as well as the drunks who lurk out of Marquee Nightclub at 4am looking to sober up.

This place screams New York Pizza joint from the layout, to the music, to the old school video games and the tiled borders on the wall, random patrons money signed and lined up in all different denominations.  This place is a slice of perfection, I mean you can also get PBR on draft for like 5 bucks in a giant red Dixie cup, how much classier and old school can you get! Whether it’s a regular slice of classic cheese. pepperoni, white, sausage, veggie, or whatever it is you want, you are guaranteed a mouthgasm after the first bite, because it’s amazing!  Feel like having something sweet, their cannoli’s and New York cheese cake will cure that craving real fast.

How can you go wrong, Pizza by the slice, cool venue, great music, beer, video games, open late and the joint has no name, you have to try it because it’s the best kept secret in town!
