Those of you who read this blog know that I am a huge musicphile! It’s better than being a pedophile that’s for sure. I find it very difficult to find a great venue to see a live band today. My favorite venue in Las Vegas is without a doubt the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
You are surrounded by the open air and the electricity of the Las Vegas strip. I have seen quite a few bands in the last year and it is the perfect spring and summer venue. Even if you are falling asleep watching the opening act, you are constantly entertained visually by the idiots running around, the neon lights and of course getting your drink on!
I am happy to report, French House band Justice Gay Paris will be performing at the Boulevard Pool April 19, 2012 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas. Those of you who aren’t familiar with the band, I strongly advise you to get a F’ing clue. The band comprises of two French Cats by the name of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. These guys are like a modern day Daft Punk without the helmets. They actually play instruments and not just push a fucking button and dance like morons deadmau5. You can actually see who they are. Their style is french house mixed with hard rock and indie elements which make them cooler than the regular house garbage Pauly D you see on the Vegas Strip. Their new album Audio,Video,Disco was just released earlier this year in January and is really good. They are like a boutique band that have a loyal following.
