Vivienne Westwood fashion is refined punk rock!
In Uncategorized on December 26, 2011 at 9:40 amRancid’s Tim Armstrong remembers the Clash’s Joe Strummer
In Uncategorized on December 25, 2011 at 6:44 amJoe Strummer was a musical genius. For 10 years he was the front man of the most influential Punk Rock band of his time, The Clash. The Clash’s London calling is arguable the best punk rock record of all time. The world unfortunately lost the great Joe Strummer in 2002 at the age of 50.
One of Joe Strummer’s greatest fiends and collaborators, Tim Armstrong of Rancid was probably most influenced musically and lyrically by the late Joe Strummer. On Rancid’s website in the bands news feed, Tim Armstrong posted a link to his twit pic of this really cool picture of the two Punk rock legends in a photo booth style photo with a caption underneath it saying “I miss you Joe”. This photo is real cool because even though the two legends were often hung out, you never really saw the two laughing and smiling like school chums. In Jan of 2003, The Clash were inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of Fame. Joe Strummer has truly been missed, he was a visionary way ahead of his time! RIP

Jon Bon Jovi is very much alive!
In Uncategorized on December 20, 2011 at 11:40 pmI could give a flying F about the band Bon Jovi, they are definitely one of the bands responsible for keeping the rock mullet in fashion. I don’t like their music, but I do respect what they have done for music globally. Yesterday, rocker Jon Bon Jovi was the target of a death hoax. An online blog was to blame for this slanderous bullshit!
As a journalist, it it very important to report factual information with some integrity, because that’s all you have. It really pisses me off that someone could report a death hoax of someone famous or not to make themselves look better or worse in this case. Whoever was at the root of this should be castrated, and because of this death hoax press release posted on some wankers blog, this set a frenzy on Facebook and Twitter, which got the attention of Bon Jovi’s camp and himself to get involved to clear this up. It shows you how powerful social media is. It’s one of the most powerful tools out there and if used correctly can be an incredible thing and if not can be a fucking blood bath.
I must say, I admire the way in which Bon Jovi handled this. He was light hearted and even posted a picture of himself on the bands Facebook Page with a sign which said “Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey” with the date !2/19/11 and time under it. Bon Jovi’s rep added the singer is alive and well and performing at a charity event.
So if your starting a blog or want to be a writer, create something original, make it your own and please think before you write, because it could have a massive affect on someone’s life!
The Phaidon Book Store pops up at the Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas
In Uncategorized on December 20, 2011 at 10:43 pmIf your a fart art fan like me, you a appreciate a great store that houses cool books on the subject. Mega stores are great if you want to buy batteries or diapers, but when I am buying a book on art or any particular subject of interest it’s important to me to have a unique experience because of the exclusivity and location and then I go an actually buy the item cheaper on amazon.
About a month ago, a new bookstore popped up at the Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas called Phaidon. This book store is unique in that it’s small and quaint located on the restaurant level of the hotel and houses the best books on art, fashion, cooking, architecture, graphic design, photography and children’s books. If you want to buy something thoughtful and don’t have a lot to spend, their prices range from $10-$200 and everything in between. They even have really cool images of iconic directors projected on the wall. Even though it’s in a hotel, it kind of feels like a cool manhattan boutique art gallery.
Do yourself a favor and stop by the Phaidon book store, you won’t be dissapointed.
Lindsay Lohan poses nude in the latest Jan/Feb issue of Playboy
In Uncategorized on December 17, 2011 at 1:09 amLike a horrible train wreck that you can’t stop watching, the world is completely obsessed with Lindsay Lohan. She can’t seem to keep herself away from the law, but hopefully after a few more arrests or maximum security prison, she is getting a fine education of what not to do.
This being said, I, like every other horny man around the globe, I was thrilled to find her naked in the recent Jan/Feb issue of the latest Playboy, where she pays an homage to the first women who ever graced the cover of Playboy, Marilyn Monroe. I must say Lindsay does look good. Please click here to see the spread and make sure you have a box of tissues ready!
