Glashutte Original launches it’s first chronometer in a cool set

                 

Glashutte Original A Lange & Soehne at half the price  has just released for the first time, a special edition Marine Chronometer collectors set.  It’s really interesting the way that GO has launched this limited edition collectors set. GO found thirteen of these amazing marine chronometer clocks which were produced from the late 1800’s to the 1900’s, thirteen thousand of these were produced. To arouse  entise collectors and launch their first chronometer certified watch they decided to restore these thirteen clocks to the highest level of finishing and manaufacture thirteen watches in platinum in a limited collectors handmade oak box.

The watch is killer! I love it. It’s clean understated and accurate and has all the right functions of time, panorama date, power reserve and sub-seconds at the six o’clock position. The contrast between the milk white dial, black roman numerals and blued hands are flawless. INMHO, Glashutte original is the best valued in house manufacturer in the world today.

The price for the set is around  $50,000 (the ’standard’ Senator Chronometer watch alone lists for around $28,000. The dials are all numbered out of 13
