This year in my opinion is a very disappointing year for popular watch brand Breitling. They have been so incredibly hot the last 5 years that I guess this year they have decided to take a break completely on R&D. Seems like they are getting there inspirations these days from budget Danish brand Skagen. What a depart from their Breitling for Bentley posh image which has catapulted them to super star status. Its a shame really with such history,innovation and mass appeal they have decided to make some sort of throw back or in my case throw up to retro by ruining the Super Ocean and having a blue dial chronograph with really cool pushers but a blue rotating bezel, with get ready for this people, non other than the complicated stainless steel mesh strap! Come on. This really looks cheap. This has to be some sort of joke.Even though I have not and will not wear a Breitling I have been impressed with their Emergency, Aerospace and Cult Icon Navitimer collection over the years.The other watches they released this year look exactly like all the other ones of the past lacking originality.Hopefully next year will be a better one for them if they could actually put some effort into it. Well I guess there is always the vintage ones.
